The company's history is closely tied up with the territory. Vertosan is indeed named after the walloon known as “Comba di Vertosan” deriving from a dialect word meaning “green grass valley”.

This small gem of the Alps is located in the municipality of Avise at an altitude of 1.870 meters, reachable only by going through the village of Vens, crossing the Col de Joux and proceeding along the dirt road leading to Vedun's village. This rural area with scattered mountain pastures, clearings and larch forests is the place that gave rise to one of the most popular traditional events of Aosta Valley known as “Bataille des Reines” (The cow fighting).

Mountain bikers and hiking lovers can discover the rounded peak of Court de Bard and enjoy the amazing view over the Mont Blanc massif as well as the Gran Paradiso's area and the Lake of Dzioule, reachable on foot.
